Meet the Team at Hudzinski Dental

Dr. Matthew Hudzinski, DMD

Dr. Matthew Hudzinski brought his vision for patient-centered care to the practice in 2024, taking the reins from Dr. Fryer and building on the culture of excellence he inherited.

Dr. Hudzinski earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Kentucky, followed by a Master's in Biology from Cleveland State University. He then attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2021. That strong scientific foundation informs every aspect of his dedication to patient care. 

For Dr. Hudzinski, the most powerful moments in dentistry are the quiet ones, when a patient's fear turns to trust, or when they finally feel confident enough to smile again. He sees his work as more than clinical care; it's about restoring confidence, relieving pain, and improving quality of life in ways patients feel immediately.

Outside the office, he stays active through hockey and travel, and balances that energy with something more meditative—playing the piano.

Dr. Kevin Fryer

Dr. Kevin Fryer's connection to Hudzinski Dental runs deep; he founded the practice in 1992 and spent more than three decades building it into the patient-centered home it is today. Though he transitioned ownership to Dr. Hudzinski in 2025, Dr. Fryer remains an active part of the team, and patients can still expect to see his familiar face in the office.

A Purdue University graduate, Dr. Fryer earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in 1989 and has since devoted hundreds of hours to continuing education, with a particular focus on implants, Invisalign, and sleep apnea treatment. For him, the greatest reward is hearing patients say how seamless their experience was, which he knows speaks volumes about the collaborative, team-first culture he helped create.

Outside the office, Dr. Fryer stays active through skiing, pickleball, and travel. He also plays guitar, and if the conversation turns to the Beatles, be prepared—he knows every song they ever recorded, and then some.

Tammy

Office Manager

Tammy joined our practice in 2016, bringing a background in dentistry dating back to 2012. Her passion for the field started even earlier, when a high school job shadow at her own dental office convinced her this was the right path.

Since attending West Liberty University, Tammy has built her career around making dentistry accessible and stress-free for patients. Whether it’s walking someone through their treatment options, finding ways to make care affordable, or simply keeping the office running smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside work, Tammy is happiest outdoors, camping, and spending time in nature whenever she can. She also reads, does crafts, and is impressively handy around the house. If something needs fixing, she'll take a crack at it herself first and usually succeeds. A West Virginia native, she brings a little mountain state resourcefulness to everything she does.

Megan

Dental Hygienist, Clinical Manager

Megan has been with our practice since 2017, drawn to dentistry by the kind, attentive staff who cared for her through years of orthodontic work as a kid. She looked forward to every appointment and eventually decided to make that experience her career.

Megan earned her degree from Lakeland Community College and has spent the last eight years building genuine relationships with her patients, catching up on life updates every six months, and genuinely looking forward to those conversations.

Outside the office, Megan enjoys reading, attending concerts, and taking nature walks with her son. She hand-crochets cozy blankets, and if you ever visit her at home, you might walk into a spontaneous dance party.

Maryann

Registered Dental Hygienist

Maryann has been caring for patients since 1994, bringing more than 30 years of experience to her role as a hygienist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from The Ohio State University and has built her career around the blend she loves most: genuine patient connection, applied science, and making a real difference in people's lives. Her approach centers on education and prevention, helping patients understand not only how to treat dental problems but also how to avoid them in the first place.

Outside the office, Maryann and her family explore the outdoors through RV camping and hiking the metroparks. She's also a skilled chocolatier who crafts custom chocolates for weddings and special events. She admits she's fiercely competitive and has yet to meet a riddle she couldn't solve.

Brandy

Registered Dental Hygienist

Brandy has been caring for patients since 2003 and joined our practice in 2018, with more than two decades of experience and a genuine commitment to compassionate care. She earned her Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Youngstown State University and has built her career around a simple standard: She'll only work somewhere she'd confidently refer her own family and friends. She thrives in a general practice setting, where the variety of patients, from young children to older adults, keeps every day fresh and meaningful.

Outside the office, Brandy stays active in her community through church and volunteering at her kids' school. In the kitchen, she loves trying new recipes and has a particular eye for making food look as good as it tastes. And for those who might wonder about the slight Southern lilt—Brandy is originally from Mississippi, though Ohio has been home since she was 11.

Samantha

Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Samantha has been a familiar and trusted presence at the practice since 2011, bringing more than 25 years of dental experience with her. She completed the Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary program at Case Western Reserve University and has built a reputation for being knowledgeable across all procedures.

Samantha enjoys dentistry because, as she puts it, "it feels like arts and crafts." She particularly enjoys helping patients understand their treatment options and find ways to improve their smile.

When she's not at work, Samantha loves being outdoors, reading, and traveling with her family. She gravitates toward historical tours and learning about the stories behind the places she visits. In the kitchen, she rarely reaches for a recipe and prefers to see what's on hand and create from there.

Molly

Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Molly joined our practice in 2022 after completing the Expanded Function Dental Assistant program at Case Western Reserve University. She's drawn to this work for a straightforward reason: She loves being of service, whether it's preparing for a procedure, keeping the team stocked and organized, or simply making sure a patient feels comfortable from the moment they're brought back. She also serves as the practice's lab manager, adding another layer of responsibility to her already hands-on role.

Outside the office, Molly keeps her creative side busy with drawing, painting, and crochet. She's also a reader who plays both clarinet and piano.

Bridget

Dental Assistant

Bridget joined the team in 2023, drawn to dentistry by the opportunity to learn something entirely new. Trained on the job, she has become a go-to presence for Invisalign patients and handles everything from procedure setup to sterilization with care and consistency. What keeps her engaged day to day is the relationships she builds with patients over time.

Outside the office, Bridget is a reader, a traveler, and enjoys writing short stories. 

Ta'Nyia

Dental Assistant

Ta'Nyia trained at Polaris Career Center and has been with the practice for a year, bringing a chairside presence that patients notice right away. She believes that good energy and positivity make all the difference, not just in keeping patients comfortable, but in making the day brighter for everyone. Helping someone feel at ease enough to get through their treatment is, for her, one of the most rewarding parts of the job.

Outside the office, she's happiest when she's doing something fun or adventurous, like traveling, hitting up arcades and carnivals, or spending time at the lake. She also enjoys trail walks and, fun fact, played basketball all through middle and high school.
